The sketchbook is one of the most intimate working surfaces a person can possess. It can be a private visual journal or a document shared among friends and the public. Most importantly, drawing is a tool for better understanding your environment and surroundings. In this workshop, Gabriel Pons and Scarlett Suhy-Pons will share a selection of travel sketchbooks and working journals with students and then take them on a “Sketch Expedition” in downtown Fredericksburg.
